This area of the Gard offers stunning scenery and lots to do: rivers to swim in, caves (Trabuc Grotte) to explore, vineyards to sample, hills to hike, steam trains, the Bambousserie (Ornate garden with Bamboo).

There are many pretty villages and little towns in this area such as Anduze, a popular medieval town with narrow streets, hidden squares, ancient fountains and a good selection of cafes, restaurants and shops. St-Jean-du-Gard, the little town where Robert Lewis Stevenson’ arrived at the end of his Travels with a Donkey in the Cevennes, is set in a beautiful area and is ideal for instance for all types of outdoor activities. Vezenobres is a very lovely Medieval village perched on a hill. It is full of narrow cobblestone streets, ancient and interesting houses, vaulted passages and stone walls and a tall clock tower. The area has many more of these lovely little villages and towns to discover.

Situated 30 mins from Nimes, 30 mins from Uzes, 45 mins from Avignon, 1h from the local beaches and 1h from Montpellier, Vezenobres is a very lovely Medieval village perched on a hill.
